Scene Study with Lori Russo

An audience cannot experience the actor’s intention, no matter how much they means it, if it remains “locked” inside an unaware body and an underdeveloped voice. Lori’s intention with this workshop, is to assist and inspire all performers become aware of your energy, how it helps you in your work as well as how it can hinder you. Through harnassing the use of breath and how it can assist you in with endurance in a play or long shooting day and keep you calm, focused, grounded and ready!

The class will focus on and explore Relaxation, Use of Energy, putting Voice on Breath with movement, Body/Energy awareness and Core strengthening. The student will learn to think with the body and voice as a whole instrument, and be in a state of readiness, able to reach and maintain Dynamic Expressiveness. Even in stillness.

Classes will take place on Monday nights at STC starting October 31 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The 6-week course is $250.
